Caroline and Michael met in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic (some would say it was perfect timing!). They were introduced by mutual friends, Briana and Anthony. Caroline was still in physician assistant school and was classmates and good friends with Briana. Anthony and Mike were roommates living in a townhouse in Belmar. Once Briana and Anthony started dating (they are now married!), Anthony's Belmar place became a popular hang out spot. Caroline and Mike probably crossed paths many times but it wasn't until Anthony took matters into his own hands and formally introduced us. The rest is history from there!

They went on their first date on Valentine's Day in 2020 (bold move by Mike) at Bamboo Leaf in Bradley Beach (still a favorite), and multiple dates quickly after that. When the pandemic hit and the country was shut down within the next 6 weeks, they knew they wanted to go through it together. In some ways the pandemic was a blessing for the relationship, as it forced them to get to know each other very well very quickly with only at-home dates, minimal interactions with others, and many many many puzzles!

They came out of the pandemic shut down stronger than ever, and things only got better once the real world opened up again! In June of 2023, they moved into their first place together, a small cape cod house in Spring Lake Heights. They love building their life together by the beach!
